Interview a Character Assessment

Have you ever wanted your students to actually SPEAK to one of their characters? In this assessment, they will.

Part 1:

Students will choose a primary symbol from the novel and find quotes where the symbol is mentioned. Then, students will choose questions that they can ask the character. At least two should relate in some way to the symbol and themes from the novel. Choose five questions, then explain in two-three sentences how those questions will be meaningful.

Part 2:

There are prompts included asking students to use the evidence they collected in part one to complete an essay about the symbol (rubric included).
