Soundtrack Assessment
Do you have students who are musically inclined? Do you want them to find evidence and make it relevant to their own lives?
Part 1:
This resource asks students to identify a symbol, and find three pieces of evidence to back up that symbol’s use. Then, the students need to find five songs that could work as a “playlist” for the book-with two relating directly to the symbol. Then, students will need to create an album covering relating to the symbol (rubric included)
Part 2:
There are prompts included asking students to use the evidence they collected in part one to complete an essay about the symbol (rubric included).
This resource includes:
-Video instructions on how to set up the assessment.
-Student template slides
-Student instructions doc (with rubric)
-Teacher instructions
-Essay writing prompt (with rubric)
-Album cover example
